Need Help with Style Manager, V 3.5

    Hi All,
I have been trying to change all the default colors and I have come close to what I want, but now I have noticed in the thread messages, the background color is one of the dark colors I had chosen for one of the index page colors. I am sorry, but I can't explain it any better, but if someone would be so kind to look at my site to what I mean, then this would be appreciated.

    The forum's index is: www.alienseekernews.com/forums

The thread message page is now a dark color, which is almost unreadable. I have not be able to locate where to change this within the Style Manager. You can view one of the pages I am referring too here:

Thank you for any help anyone can provide.

    Don

I can read that post fine, white on a dark background.
Make sure that the problematic style is viewable by guests.
    Best Regards

      Hi Colin,
Thank you your repy. what do you mean by "problematic style", I have no idea to what this is?

I also have a lot of postings that had black text. They are still showing black text on the newer dark red background. Is there anyway I can change this without having to edit each and everyone? I am sorry, but I am new to this and just trying to get a handle on it.

      Best Regards,
      Don

As I said, the post you linked to shows up as white text on dark background, and is easily readable.
Is this happening for you on the default style? Do you have multiple styles?
        Best Regards

The postings I already had there are still showing black text on the new dark background, but if I create a new posting, then it will be white text on the dark background.

Come to think of it, I had edited a couple of the post prior to your first reply. The one you seen must have been one of those.

          Check this one out:

          Thanks for your help,

Is there any way within the style manager to edit the background to the messages to make them a lighter color?

            Best regards,
            Don

Sure, edit the background color of the First Alternating Color css class in your Style Manager
              Best Regards

But that also changes the color on the index page and I only want to give the message window a lighter color.

I'm having this same problem. I only want to change that strip in threads, but it changes it on the index page too.

Also, I can't find where I can change the background color of a quote.

Meaning, the color this is in.
