I'm going to nominate mine - the Cyburbia Forums. It's a message board catering to urban planning professionals and others who are interested in the built environment. The level of discussion is usually pretty high; no AOL/L337 speak, users tend to be older than on most other message boards, and one-liners are the exception rather than the norm.

I also get a lot of people writing to ask for the image and button set; a creation of mine based on the KDE Plastik theme. For those who like X-TREEEEM! GAMERZ!!!1!!-style graphics, you'll probably be disappointed.

    http://www.cyburbia.org/forums

As of today: around 250,000 posts, and 2,600 members, with 544 active. The message board was started in 1996 (yes, those are really Matt's WWWBoard messages converted to vBulletin), and using vBulletin since 2001.
