I am editing the postbit_onlinestatus template -- I'm trying to add this code

<if $user[usergroupid]=10>< Member ></if>

when I try to save the template, the server locks apache at 100% utilization, and it just hangs. --what the heck am I doing wrong ?

What are trying to do? Display the text "member" if they are in usergroup 10?

FYI -- I could never get it to work with $buserinfo[usergroupid] -- but it did work using $user[usergroupid]

well -- this was working fine in the postbit_onlinestatus template...

But I decided I didn't like it there, and tried to move it to the postbit_legacy template, and it freaks out --

$user[usergroupid] don't equal anything,
$bbuserinfo[usergroupid] always is 1, no matter what group the user is in.

any ideas ??

well, if anyone was wondering -- I had to use $post[usergroupid] --
