You are right. I meant to reply to http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=158887 but since one cannot reply on that forum i replied here. And since this post does not mention the extra arguments my post made no sense.

My note was only for the cases where an additional argument (like show threads only from a specific set of forums) is specified and the amperand symbol is used. Like
    Code:
    external.php?forumids=2,3,5&type=js
    would validate and
    Code:
    external.php?forumids=2,3,5&type=js
    would not.

external.php?amp;type=js seems completely wrong. It'd probably be & but I don't see why a & is needed for the first argument.

    W3 validation would require
    Code:
    external.php?amp;type=js
    rather than
    Code:
    external.php?type=js
Also, HTML Tidy seems happier with "\/" rather than "\" inside the document write.

Seems fixed by changing the number of threads to 10. I guess there might not have been enough new threads before

    thanks in advance.
    1. Yes
    2. It only shows what is visible to guests
    3. That is what it does. It shows the latest threads created.

I have it working with 3.6.4.

I haven't test for your questions 2 and 3 but I'd let you know once I do it.

    Thanks the code is great.

I am wondering why is it that if someone adds a new thread or post, it takes a while when the thread moves or changes (in the Latest Active Threads box)?

Is it possible that the changes will appear right after they are made (so it doesn't take that long anymore) ??

    Thanks in advance

Nevermind a vb.org modification plugin has been released which doesnt make use of the external.php file allowing vB SEO to work its magic.

Would it be possible for this modification to become compliant with vBSEO.
As for some reason the showthread.php URLs are not being converted to content relevant format.
