  • How to allow staff-approved Flash signatures only

This isn't anything groundbreaking or unique, but I figure it'll help the next guy who's looking for what I was. If you want your users to to be able to use Flash in their signatures but worry about them putting in some huge/noise/annoying file, here's a good solution.

    Title:
    Flash

    Tag:
    Flash

    Replacement:
    Code:
    <embed src=http://www.YOUR_SITE.com/SIGNATURE_DIRECTORY/{param} type=application/x-shockwave-flash></embed>
    Example:
    Code:
    [flash]movie.swf width=XX height=XX[/flash]
    Description:
This will add a Flash animation to your post or signature. All Flash files must be pre-approved by the staff and uploaded by them to a folder within the site. Please PM or email a staff member with your Flash file for approval.

    Use {option}:
    No

Obviously you replace YOUR_SITE.com with your website name and SIGNATURE_DIRECTORY with the folder you will save your approved Flash files in. Hope this helps somebody
