I finally got up and running

Got up and running yesterday and I am getting visitors all the time. I have 4 new Member and I hope it keeps up and starts catching on.

Check our our forum at http://www.hometheatershack.com/forums and notice the welcome header. Register and don't activate your account and go back see the next welcome header. Then activate by email and go back and see the first login visit welcome header. It tells folks exactly what we are and encourages them to register, login, and post. When I first get to your site there is nothing there to really tell me anything about the site.

You'll want to consider getting yourself a sitemap going for Google and Yahoo. I suggest visiting http://www.vbseo.com for search engine optimization.

For your forum I'd be going around to different places that offer things for sale. Email a few folks a day that have items for sale and ask them to post their item for sale on your forum.

You might even post in some of those classifieds sites... not anything for sale but just in the for sale space put "For Sale or Trade Forum" and then instead of posting an item for sale you can post your description of your forum. You might get kicked out on a few but I bet you'd get some response on a bunch of them.
