    Will that show as a fake postbit? Like on Nase' site? I want to be able to put an ad after the first post but I don't want the postbit. I thought I had seen something here somewhere on how to do that before but after all my searching this thread was all I found.

    <fake post code here>

    That still won't work for me. Nothing shows up.

    It goes in the Footer template?

    Found this on another forum where this was debated... several members believed this would be in breach of the adsense TOS. One member contacted them and this is what they said...

    Hello Scott,

    You may not place the AdSense banner in posts in your forum, as this may
    draw undue attention to the AdWords ads being served and, thus, encourage
    your users to click on the ads being served. If users click on ads without
    the intention of converting to customers, advertiser costs can be
    artificially inflated. Therefore, such activity is in violation of our
    program policies (https://www.google.com/adsense/policies).

    Please do not implement your forum in such a way that the AdSense banner
    is posted in the middle of your forum's threads.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Feel free to email us at [email protected] if you have additional
    questions or concerns. For technical support, please email
    [email protected].

    Sincerely,

    The Google Team
    Thus to sum up even if you could do this it is against Googles policies. .

    That would be simply the most annoying thing ever. The whole idea behind google ads is how unobtrusive they are. You might as well just throw a few hundred popups and forced spyware downloads at your members if youre going to muck up every thread like that.

    That said, if I knew how to do it I'd help, but I don't!

    <if condition="($post[postcount] == 1") AND ($bbuserinfo[userid] == 0)">

    display google adsense code

    </if>

    Place it at the bottom of your footer template.

    Actually it might be easier than you think with conditionals.

    I just don't see the hassel, a adsense banner in the footer for guests only is sufficient for me.

    I asked for someone who did that for vB3 already so i'd like to have that for vB3

    The ad should look like a posting. The username should be something like 'we recommend' and the buttons (of course) should be gone because no one can quote that posting nor edit it
    I thought of an conditional within the postbit-template.
    Something like 'is_guest' and 'is_second_post'...

    fake a postbit for google adsense

    Hello

    I'd like to 'fake' a postbit in wich i want to add my google adsense code.

    How can i do it best? The 'Google post' should always be the second in every topic and it should only be displayed for guests.

    Has someone made that for vB3 already???
