    vButton3Demo

    A quick preview only.

It works only on Large Text Buttons.psd, Small Text Buttons.psd & Quick Reply.psd which must be in the same folder you run it from.

It will output the images in the same folder you run it from, and will delete the old images on each run, so be careful.

The images that are saved will not be exactly the same as Kiers, but are as close as I can get so far.

This version will only run on Photoshop 7.x, with the scripting plug-in installed.
    Normal Visual Basic runtime requirements.

I may add text layer changing and more images etc in the future.

I don't have any time to support this at the moment, or further develop it, as I am away for a couple of weeks, so please try and help the others that need it.

I have now added a Photoshop CS version as well, you just need the runtimes from above as CS has scripting built in.

        It's spelt "matte"

And I assume you spelt color as colour on purpose.
        :)

I would love to see a CS version since thats what I use on my home system but I'm not picky. hehe

                  Wow, great work

Any chance you can make one that runs with Photoshop 6 - not all of us have found it necessary (probably due to lack of skills!) to upgrade to 7 yet.

                  Pretty please

New test version. (CS only version)

First, this version has been written for and tested (basic only) on Photoshop CS.
A Photoshop 7 version will not be made available of this build
(I have not decided for the final version, there are lots of new features in the new scripting engine in CS, but I'm not sure if I will use any.)

It will output the /buttons and /icons images.

It requires button and icons psd files in /psd/buttons and /psd/icons below the folder the program is run from.
It requires /gif/buttons and /gif/icons below the folder the program is run from.
(Both paths are included in the zip)

A bit of basic info for running it.

"Light Colour" is used on several images as well as the button gradients (if you want to see where, change it on it's own and you'll see what i mean)
"Darker Colour" is used on "collapse_thead.gif"
Some of the other colours like "tcat" & "thead" are also used in the "collapse_thread.gif" type images.

The biggest difference with these images compared to Kier's orginal one's (apart from me guessing all the colours, and not having a clue how to re-colour certain layers) is the resize is done within "save for the web" and no "unsharp mask" is done anywhere.

                              Note:
I am aware that there is an error in the reply_small/quote output.
Did the 3.01 release change the images?
If so the graphics kit & docs have not been updated ??????
Can a vBulletin team member please confirm if the kit & docs will be changed or not.
