When tryin to install this language pack I get the error "XML tag mismatch at line 16"

The only change I made was changing the charset to utf-8 at line 7.

Here is the section with the problem:

<settings>
<options>1</options>
<languagecode>it</languagecode>
<charset>UTF-8]></charset>
<imagesoverride />
<dateoverride />
<timeoverride />
<registereddateoverride />
<calformat1override />
<calformat2override />
<logdateoverride />
<locale />
<decimalsep>.</decimalsep>
<thousandsep>,</thousandsep>
</settings>

I have not solved it yet, I only have Italian installed from version 3.5.4.

The vBulletin error message before refusing to install the pack is about an "XML tag mismatch", but nothing looks mismatched to me.

I did convert to UTF-8, as I have 6 languages on my site, and codepage ISO8859-1 cannot deal with that. I only find UTF-8 to be reliable.
