Some of you are missing the point when Jasper says that The Smiley Company is home to one of the most recognisable logo in the world.

When they talk about being 'home', they talk about bringing to the world the smiley symbol we see so often --

So yes, they're pretty big, at least their logo is... just like they said.

They have no need to be 'talked about' or 'spread' because they already own all of our smiley symbols!

Not a huge fan of them myself. As stated before they're not very professional looking at all. Like this is the kind of thing any smuck with eyes and a copy of photoshop could do.

But as also noted, there is always the option of just not using them.

It would be nice if the admin CP had the notion of a 'smiley pack' to allow people to easily install and uninstall large segments of smilies. phpBB has this and it's free so I'm not sure why vB wouldn't. Smilie categories aren't the same thing.

      Cheers,

I challenge you to design smilies at the same dimensions in the pack, fitting in all the details and still convey the emotions. All in a 17px squared space. I'll bet you won't get them looking half as good as the ones in this pack. It's easy to say you can do better, when infact this is far off the truth. Obviously, you'll need educated that not any "smuck" can simply design at a small scale, still convey the emotions, and visually design with detail. Your not a fan of the pack, fair enough, but the fact of the matter if any smuck could design them then they wouldn't have even posted and went off and designed a custom pack themselves.

Not knocking you I can understand and appreciate the time it takes to design smilies, at a small scale.
