  • imagepath Stylevars

These stylevars tell the vBulletin system where to find the images it needs. In the default style these are located in the images directory but you can point them to custom directories for your own styles. Any image not found will return an error to your browser.

favicon Allows you to set a custom favicon for your community. This is the small image that shows up on the browser tabs when someone visits your site. Enter in the path to your favicon here. This should be a 16 X 16 pixel ICO format image. Some browsers also accept PNG images as well.
imgdir_attach Controls the image directory path for attachment icons. These icons show when attachments are included in the footer of a post and can help users visualize the file type.
imgdir_button Controls the image directory path for the small icons used with action buttons across the system. These add visual aids to the links created by the system.
imgdir_cms Controls the image directory path for CMS images and icons. These are used for controls, widget headers and other locations.
imgdir_editor Controls the image directory path for the text editor controls. In versions prior to vBulletin 4.1.4, each icon is its own file. Starting with vBulletin 4.1.4, these are in a single file referred to as a CSS sprite.
imgdir_gradients Sets the image directory path for background gradients. vBulletin ships with a number of gradient images for backgrounds. Many of these are transparent PNG images that allow the background gradients to become the background color.
imgdir_icons Sets the image directory path for post icons. These are small icons that users can choose to highlight their posts, should you have it enabled.
imgdir_misc Controls the image directory path for miscellaneous images used through the system. These images include default avatars, images, and icons for functions like search and instant messaging.
imgdir_mobile This sets the location of the directory for images used in the Mobile Style.
imgdir_rating Controls the image directory path for rating icons. These are the five star icons used for rating threads.
imgdir_reputation Controls the image directory path for reputation icons. Reputation icons are the small images that appear under a user's name as they gain or lose reputation on your site. These are not used if you turn off the Reputation features.
imgdir_siteicons Sets the location of 'site icons'. These are used in the user profile cards that popup when you click on a user's name throughout a vBulletin site.
imgdir_searchresults Controls the image directory path for search result images. These images are used to denote the type of content shown in the result listings.
imgdir_statusicon Controls the image directory path for status icon images. Status icons are used to show whether a forum has new posts or threads, whether an area is locked or links to another site.
titleimage Unlike the other stylevars in this group, this sets the path to a single image. This stylevar allows you to change your titleimage or logo on the system. The image is shown in the header of every page.
unknownsgicon Another stylevar that points to a single image. This image is used as the default image for new Groups created. The owner of the group can upload their own image to use instead.

Pro Tip: When creating styles with custom images, put those images in their own directories. Most people put these inside a directory named after their style. So your custom status icon directory may be "images/customstyle/statusicons". This helps keep your vBulletin installation organized.
